Loads or torque - 400 Nm, 295 ft-lb on 184BHP engine, and as a result very good fuel economy due to the engine not working hard to tow.

Very underrated car the Vectra, usually criticised by those that have never owned one. I had the 1. 9cdti estate version for seven years and it never missed a beat, mine was the 120bhp model which seemed to suffer less problems than the 150bhp. It was a better all round vehicle than my current CR-V, and I only really sold it because after seven years I just fancied a change. For a while after, I wished I'd never sold it, but would have had to change it sooner or later because our current van is too heavy for the Vectra.

I think you need to check the weights though, mine weighed 1573KG, and had a nose weight of 75KG.
