Review - Preistfields Farm, Castle Hedingham, Essex

Preistfields is a beauty! It is a basic site with no showers or loos. The site and owners by far make up for it, Close to Hedingham Castle, Great Yealdham, Sudbury - based on the Essex/Norfolk/Suffolk borders. All are a short but winding drive away.

Very level site and very quiet with views over the fields for some 7 miles or more, There is a track (byway) nearby leading to Little Yealdham which is a picturesque village. Plenty or hearty meals at rural pubs nearby. Site has waste disposal, fresh water, recycling, hard and grass standings and allows pets.

This is a CL, and always has regulars revisiting. Most if not all of the people we met were returning.

Access to the site is wide enough for the caravan - though if in the dark as we were - will leave you wondering where on earth you are going - just carry on, the farm is at the end of the road and is worth the trip. .......there is a site at the start of the lane, don't get confused with this one! It has loos, but no power and is more costly

£11 a night with hook up at Priestfields - definitely will return!
