edessex
I nipped into Aldi's earlier and spotted a damp meter / tester, just wondered if anyone has used one of them? They're not a brand name jobby, but seem a good price at £12. 99. ..
TD 42
I have 2 of them they do the job ok, my reasoning is if the meter picks up any sign of damp then I get the van professionally checked, although I have checked my meters against my service mechanics meter & its well within a comparable tollerance

SeanLonsdale
I have an Aldi one. It too is comparable against a pro servicing model. Quite satisfied with it :-) Quote Some People have the best of everything, others make the best of everything they have
ribs99
My wife picked one of these up over the weekend, I haven't used it on the van yet but I did try it in our downstairs loo where I can see the walls are damp and the meter reading went through the roof Tried it on an internal wall and the reading was very low, so assuming it does what it says on the box. TonyJover
As a rough guide, wooden furniture in a centrally heated house should read around 14%. Tony
