Anyone any experience of the Kiam generators? I am considering the 1001i model but can't find any reviews.

We've got an 80W suitcase solar panel. ........ :o

Very reliable, works a treat even on dull days, and no running costs. ....

Don't have a Kiam but I do have a Kipor Digital 1000TI (the Honda copy  )

The only advice I would give is that 1kw output may not be enough and consider this carefully before buying.

I use my generator on the allotment a lot to power drills and an angle grinder - I wish I had bought a 2k one which would have allowed me to use the shredder.

Useful bit of kit though and very quiet considering.

All seem very similar to me.

I'm happy with mine, see my sig. for make/model.

Watch the weight if going for larger output.

Going off topic, what on earth do you grow that requires you to use drills and an angle grinder?

Fruit cage made of old scaffold poles - making and erecting a shed - 5 compost bins made from old pallets - frames for brassicas to support netting - frames for runner beans - the list is endless.
