Dearne devils
Good morning Wonder if someone would be able to advise me if the Kampa carnival size 1020 would fit my van as doing research on a few websites it states 959 to 1500 unless I'm reading it wrong I plan to use this with an elddis odyssey 524 2005 model Appreciate any feedback Regards Neil
DerbyClubman
This page on Caravan Talk has the Awning size as 959cm. http://www. caravantalk. co. uk/caravan-specifications/elddis/odyssey-524-l-2005_6258 Also confirmed as 959cm here http://www. gocaravanning. com/caravan-specs/10570/Elddis-Odyssey-524-L-2005. html One for sale here says 950cm http://www. selstoncaravans. co. uk/catalog/index. php/caravans/elddis-odyssey-524-4-berth-2005. html As there is such a difference between your quoted sizes of 959 and 1500, one of those must be wrong and it seems to be the 1500 ! According to this site you need Kampa size 950 - you can sometimes get away with one size difference but I would say that a 1020 would be too big http://www. awnings. co. uk/awning-size-guide. html Hope that helps

I'll take a guess that 1500 is a typo for 1050. Tony
DerbyClubman
I'll take a guess that 1500 is a typo for 1050. Of course - now why didn't I think of that - but it still doesn't match the information I found. Best to measure the van properly to make sure - the final link in my post above shows you how - ground to ground and through the awning rail
Dearne devils
Really appreciate your feed back guys guess I best go to compound and measure it as could be an expensive mistake. Didn't think 50cm would make a big difference has used a 975 fine Regards Neil
TonyJover
50cm is getting on for 2 foot - that's a fair amount.
terrierbite
As a dealer we would always sell a 950cm awning for that van, 1020 size awning would be far too big, if you used a 975 previously I would think that would be too big but not to same extreme as a 1020 size Steve
