Avongrove
Hi, we are new to caravanning and are looking for some advice on where to go. We would prefer a site where there is maybe a restaurant, a pub and maybe some sort of entertainment and a good tv signal( sad I know). Have looked at lots of sites but they seem to be really quiet and thats not for us just yet. Maybe when we are at retirement age! lol. We are based in central Scotland and would like to hear about sites that people here have been to and what they are really like. Can anybody help us out? CBBC
Try Stanwix Park in Cumbria. It's a family site with all the expected things but upstairs there is an adults only bar and cabaret lounge. We have been a few times and always found loads to do outwith the site. It takes us just over two hours to get down there. trevorrey
Hi Avongrove We go to a site at near Dunbar, Thurston Manor it has a swimming pool, sauna etc and also, its own clubhouse, and at this time of year i believe they reduce the cost of pitches as well. We have enjoyed many a good night there, if you like a good curry as well, the indian restuarant at dunbar is really good. Thurston manor also does food as well, takeaway or in the clubhouse. KateTP
I would say Strathclyde CC site but that's just on your doorstep! We've been a few times to Blair Atholl Caravan Park. Lovely pub that does good food just outside the site as well local shop etc. If you've got kids then great play area, if you've got dogs pub allows you to take your dog. Not far from Pitlochry. Great walks too. The Woods near Alloa have a restaurant at the entrance to the site which is nice too. The site at Lauder has a pub and restaurant just outside the site, again very nice. Unfortunately none have a lot of 'entertainment' unless you make your own, nudge nudge, wink wink Quote Jeep Grand Cherokee S Limited 2014 Crusader Storm

Livi
Elie Holiday Park should tick most of your boxes and is right on the beach in one of the nicest parts of Scotland. The final few miles are a bit narrow and twisty and should be taken with care.
