rslsys
Stayed there last year and it is absolutely awesome. On booking in we were offered a seat and coffee! So unlike a Caravan Club site where you get an endless litany of what you can't do and where you can't go! The café on-site does an excellent breakfast, good beer and the take-away night where they provide plates & cutlery to eat your food from is inspired! And you have got Miss B's Tearoom in Melton Mowbray and the Golden Fleece pub within spitting distance too. Not to mention Dickinson & Morris Pork Pies . . . . I should really be telling you how awful it is so you don't go there so there is space next time we want to go . . . . Did I mention the awesome toilets and that it is the only site I have ever been to where full serviced pitches actually work properly?? Yes you can, saw dogs at a few a pegs whilst I was there, the 'fishing rules' relating to dogs say. .......quote. ..... Cheers Keith Apart from advice on how to pitch, which is in everyone's interest, never been told anything else on CC sites. Just looked at Eye Kettleby's web site, there is a long list of do's and dont's,no problem with that but they are there even if they don't tell you them. Griff
Just back from Eye Kettleby, trout lake now open. Took bikes this year and cycled around Rutland Water, 17 miles or 24 miles if you include the peninsula, superb ride with nice pub, Horse & Jockey en route for lunch. Best fishing last couple of hours with floating bread or biscuits tight against bushes. Booked already for 3 weeks in 2017. ivan leslie
As no-one has put a recent review on here thought I would post that we can back today ( 22nd February 2020 ) from a 4 night stay which was our first time there. The site is still as brilliant as others have said. We were on the Southern part, large Serviced pitches, excellent food in the bar, all staff we met were very pleasant, helpful and efficient . Oh, and the WiFi works well. If only they had the power to control the weather, it would have been even more perfect 😀😀. Bessacarr Cameo 525 towed by SsangYong Rexton 2.2 auto in Brown.
