mechs
Hi, I got an aquaroll after not having one for years and am going to put a tap on the end of it. I'm going to be getting a stand for it but don't know if it's a 29 litre or 40 litre one. Is there any way I can measure it other than pouring loads of bottles of water into it whilst counting them? Thanks! Quote Compass Shadow 1988
DTH
Hi Mechs, Found this on a caravan accessory site Water Carrier 40l Aquaroll Dimensions - 400mm wide over tyres x 500mm long I should imagine the 29L Aquaroll will be considerably smaller. Iano
The bigger one had a screw cap on the side the smaller one does not. Ian

David 38
I have the small which I think is heavy, so I would not go for the large one myself. Quote Regards, David Peugeot 308 GT Premium, 1.5 diesel 2021
gumdrop
The 40 litre is more versatile, having a cap in the side it can be used with a torbeck valve and hose or in a cradle.
mechs
thanks, no cap on the side so looks like it's the smaller one. I've had loads over the years and never thought anything of it! Quote Compass Shadow 1988
TJM
Can anyone advise what size aquaroll fits a Truma water filter,? I have found that a 29 litre has too small an opening?
Artleknock
Depends on how often you wish to go to the tap to fill the aquaroll. Quote 'I know' is just 'I Believe' with delusions of grandeur Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 PHEV 4H Unicorn 4 Cadiz

I had the small hole type in about 1980.

I'm sure there is a thread here where it is said that some 29l aqua rolls have a cap on the side macafee2

Correct on both counts. @TJM NB1 Aquaroll is only one brand of rolling water barrel, there are others with the wider neck/cap size. NB2 Many on here have dispensed with the filters on their water systems. (I'm one IMO they are bug breeding places, and a money-making scheme for the filter makers/caravan dealers who will replace at a service for an extra charge.).
