ribs99
Hi, my name is Neil and me and my wife have just bought our first caravan. We picked it up on Friday and arrived back home late afternoon just in time to get away for the long weekend. We've all thoroughly enjoyed being in the van this weekend and the kids love it too. I found towing scary at first but got right into it after an hour or so and even reversed it onto the pitch! Had a bit of trouble unhitching the van when we arrived and as it was late and raining I left it hitched overnight and sorted it in the morning. Looking forward to many happy holidays in the caravan and reading through the many topic's on this forum.
sleepyfolk
Hello Neil, welcome to caravan land, I found that it helps to pull forward an inch or two after reversing to stop the alko hitch sticking on, I usually lift the stabiliser arm up when I arrive on site before manoeuvring and it always seems to come off easier
