Review: Vip 520/4

The usual Coachman quality build, comfort and kit.

Over the years we have had a Coachman Pastiche 470/2 then a 520/4 before progressing to a 535/4 fixed bed. We missed the 'practicality' of the 520/4 layout therefore when looking to change, we had decided that it would be a 520/4 layout this time. An ideal family van and an exceptional van for a couple!

Having a fitted 80W Solar Panel is a bonus, especially for attending Rallys and when stored at hoe. The battery is permanently trickle-charged.

Your sentiments about the 520/4 echo ours, but I wish we had the solar panel on the roof. We use a fold-up panel in the Heki to keep the battery topped up when the van is in storage. Interesting to hear about your "extra" shelves - we were promised some but they never materialised, so we use a folding wire-coated ASDA shelf in the one cupboard for additional storage. We don't use the supplied plate rack either, preferring to keep our plates and bowls flat on the shelf floor, with the ASDA shelf above them. We have also added a "Bailey" kitchen roll holder, which I missed from the previous van.
