Ice Hockey Goalie
:-( Heard a bang this morning as something hit the van. Went out to find a large dent that has perforated the skin. What are the repair option here? Dunno what it was, but the shape is too regular to be 'natural' like a bit if tree or something. CommanderDave
Looks like its been hit by the end of a tube ? . ......... like a scaffold pole end as it looks a nice round cut . not knowing how high could it have been a handlebars off a bike . I got a dent from a 4 yr old neighbour on a pitch with a scooter when they banged into the side of my van. Highlandman
I had a similar thing (a little worse if anything) that was caused by a stone thrown up from a warden's ride-on mower. Perthshire Caravans filled and painted it for around £200 and no one could spot the repair. Ice Hockey Goalie
Thanx all. It is a very nice regular shape :-/ It's high up on the back end, maybe 6 and a half feet up. It weird because we have no neighbours that side, and are up against the back fence, so it's not like anyone is back there ordinarily. I will get to my dealer when we go home and get it sorted. :-) Quote I would be honoured if you could spare a few pounds to sponsor me. SteveM796
Its difficult to tell the size of the mark/dent from the picture, but a friend had 2 dents appear on the back of his van a while ago. It was while he was on a site and didnt hear anything so it could have been whilst he was away from the van for the day. It appears in his case that it was caused by someone firing an air rifle from some waste ground off site and behind his van. There are some very obnoxious people out there Good luck with the repair. Cheers, Steve

screenman
Likewise, looks like an air gun pellet to me as well, I get to fix quite a few of them in cars.
dreadly
Just put a little silicon over the hole and put a sticker over it, something saying 'GB' or '60' etc. .
