bspks
Yes it's a Bulgin miniature 3 pin socket used for 12V http://cpc. farnell. com/1/1/13251-3-pole-miniature-plug-sa2403-bulgin. html Quote Ssangyong Korando Sports SX / Adria Altea 472DS Eden
Woodentop
Actually whatever the use is in this application it is actually a mains inlet connector rated 250V 3A - look at the CPC link and you will see the associated plug with shrouded pins. Very commonly used up to about 25 years ago for instance on Pye Telecoms radio communication equipment - I know, I had to wire enough of them up! iansoady
Why would you want 3 pins for 12 volts? Quote Ian. 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Auto / 2005 Bailey Pageant Vendée; 1952 Norton ES2
hawkaye
Why would you want 3 pins for 12 volts? So you don't put it in positive-to-negative ? Quote hawkaye
gumdrop
Like Hawkaye says, it is so you don't short it out the middle pin being a guide. Other types have flat angled pins for the same reason
CommanderDave
Have you checked what the voltage is that it is supplying . If its 12v and fitted in the caravan I think i would fit a modern 12v socket and plug to indicate what voltage it is connected to .
