Not sure what you want to know. Two companies run ferries back from Le Havre. Both are similar ships - drive on at the stern, do a U turn inside and then off at the stern again when you arrive at Portsmouth. Not a big problem.

the crew are well used to dealing with all manner of vehicles and the U turn system is widely used and I've never found it a problem, just do what they ask you to do. Good luck.

They told us we will be reversing off, not that we have a problem reversing usually,

do they put cars on first so vans are not up the front too much? just asking never done it before.

Thanks Dode.

Just returned Le Havre to Portsmouth with DFDS

Drove on at Le Havre and then forward off at Portsmouth, No U turns or reversing

We are travelling Brittany ferries the Eltretat new economie, they told us when we booked it ( because we couldn t get any other on the day we wanted) that we would be reversing off and would it be a problem. we were just enquiring if anyone had used this ferry .

Just to update on this subject, you were absolutely correct on the drive on and turn around system, no idea what the booking clerk was talking about, this was the info she gave me when booking, which was incorrect,

thanks everyone for the advice.
