Freestyle Sten
Afternoon all, Off to North Devon at the weekend, and I gather the A420 at Shrivenham is closed for the next 7 weeks. Has anyone used the diversions throught there and are they ok for a van, or would you suggest using the A34. Thanks all.
motorhomevalet
Officially the diversion is to use the M4, which maybe the best route with a van depending on time of day . If your going through at night (after20. 00hrs) you should be ok going through Shrivenham Quote Quality valeting of caravans and motorhomes www. motorhomevalet. co. uk
jj202b
The diversion route through Shrivenham is fine in terms of road size to use with a van. The problem is the length of the queues at busy times.
Gordon
would you suggest using the A34. I would always avoid the A34 when possible. It's busy and slow at most times of the day between the M40 and the M4. There are currently major roadworks on the southern part of the Oxford ring road, and there are daily tailbacks onto the A34 as a result. Quote Fourwinds Hurricane 31D Motorhome. Freestyle Sten
Thanks all, We're leaving at sparrow's fart so queues shouldn't be a problem. Gordon, I agree re: A34. A couple of weeks ago we went to see friends in Eastleigh, the journey time was doubled just queuing to get onto the M3.
