WispMan
Maybe the rumours stem from a top man at the Explorer Group moving to become MD of Coachman. http://www. caravantimes. co. uk/news/makes/coachman/coachman-caravan-and-the-explorer-group-announce-staff-changes-$21384410. htm Graham Unless otherwise stated all posts are my personal opinion
Steamdrivenandy
It does sound very cosy though. I've got nothing to do on this hot afternoon but to settle down and write you a line.
Superpete
Hi While at a T. H. S. at Llanwrst ( North Wales ) two other ( non coachman ) caravaners mentioned that they had heard "on the grapevine" that the Explorer group had taken over Coachman--- anybody any info ? david I think Coachman have been in bed with Elddis for several years and getting closer each year. Including more and more joint dealerships. PeteRange Rover(s) towing Buccaneer Caravel
Steamdrivenandy
Well North Staffs are Bailey and Swift dealers, so no link there with Explorer. I've got nothing to do on this hot afternoon but to settle down and write you a line.
Superpete
Well North Staffs are Bailey and Swift dealers, so no link there with Explorer. That may be so - I didn't say ALL dealerships, I said more and more. PeteRange Rover(s) towing Buccaneer Caravel

Steamdrivenandy
The difference is David, you don't get mutual press releases wishing them well and congratulating them on the move. I've got nothing to do on this hot afternoon but to settle down and write you a line.
DeeTee
When I read the article / Jackanory it seemed to me that Explorer group were not making any efforts to retain the services of Martin Henderson. No more than their spin doctors carrying out a papering over the cracks exercise. Or perhaps a press release to get the names of both companies in the caravan press. Superpete
Well North Staffs are Bailey and Swift dealers, so no link there with Explorer. North Staffs are not Coachman dealership. Have they ever been? I note that they claim to be approved for service of Coachman caravans. I've lifted the bellow from a Caravan times article on Coachman caravans. "Jim Hibbs and George Kemp, both previous directors of ABI, formed Coachman Caravans in 1986. The Explorer Group acquired Coachman in 1997, then Jim and the management team bought it back in 2001." Steamdrivenandy
The article/press release announces they will be from 2015 season and they're holding a launch weekend in September. As they're already advertising the U3 they can't be dropping Bailey so I wonder if Swift or Sprite are going for the next MY? I've got nothing to do on this hot afternoon but to settle down and write you a line.
