Water Pumps

Which is supposed to be the better, the Whale or Crystal or are they both about the same. Secondly I have been informed that by checking out the model i. e. 801 you can tell the flow rate of the water, but how do you tell this on a Crystal pump. Would I be correct in assuming that they are interchangeable with the same socket?

Had a Whale pump on my Bailey last year and now have a Crystal pump on my Elddis. Haven't really noticed much difference.

Not sure about code and flow rate.

The pumps are not interchangeable, they have different connection plugs.

Basically the Whale is held in position by the cover plate, and the Crystal is held in position by two turn flanges.

Hope this helps

in my opinion the truma/carver crystal is a more reliable pump.

The pump came with our 2004 Lunar but I cannot find any information on it such as flow rate. Nothing wrong with it, just curious. Can't even see a model number on it.
