Keukenhof Ticket

Recommended Posts

This April we plan to go to Holland for a different holiday. We will be stopping at Konningshof site (already booked). We plan to visit Keukenhof gardens and see that you can buy ticket in advance on their web site.

Has anyone any idea if buying them in advance would have any benefits?

In addition, we hope to see the floriade procession on May 3rd but don't know what the route will be. Any ideas?

Tony

Tony

When we went to Keukenhof we purchased our tickets at the campsite (Koningshof) mainly from a convenience point of view although they did offer a small discount.

We bought on line last year. We saved a little bit of time with queues so I suppose it was worth it. The only downside to our trip was last year Spring was about a month late. There were a lot of blooms up but so much more to come. This year shows so much more promise. Enjoy!

We plan to go this weekend (without the caravan) as we will be in Rotterdam anyway on Saturday. I presume that there's no need to book in advance as we are going so early in the season, but, if you like, I'll let you know how we got along when we get back home on Monday.

Less than two weeks to go. ...Getting Excited now. Looking forward the flowers, the Cheese, Cycling, walking, and a visit or two to preserved steam railways. I have even been invited to a model railway club while there!

We bought ours here on site at Delftse Hout and saved €1. 50 on each ticket. Other than queuing to get in pay at gate is fine. We are there tomorrow Wednesday.

Caraman1, We will be going to Hoorne and Medblik to go on the steam Railway and Steam ship. about 20 mile north of Amsterdam. . In addition, there is a narrow gauge steam railway round a lake just south of Rijnsberg where we are staying at Koningshof

Glen and Les, That is perhaps because you are not as sad as me!

We are in delft at the moment and love it .

You can buy most tickets in campsite reception. Ie for the gardens or tram tickets. . Free Wi Fi on site plus a tv point as well.

Don't forget stores here don't take uk cards you need cash of you have to find a cash point .

Have a great time . This is our third visit to delft.

Well, here at last. We bought the Keukenhof tickets in the reception as suggested and got £1. 50 discount on each ticket.

It was very overcast when we arrived but it came out nice and sunny this afternoon.

we did the train ride and boat trip just a week ago and really enjoyed it even though the sea was a bit misty. The train back to car park is one of the double deckers and just outside the station we bought the biggest creamiest Ice Cream cornets for just €2 each, lovely.

Our rally "gang" will also be in Voorhout for the parade! May see you there!

Been told not many flowers left at Keukenhof - was going today but a bit too chilly!

What a glorious day for the flower parade. Brilliant Parade, We were on the south side of the centre of town. After the parade we had a coffee and apple tart, then went to Kaag Island, took the boat across the meer then went back to the caravan site at Rijnburg via Lieden. did about 19 miles cycling today!

I did look out for you (assuming you look like your photos) but didn't see you. Agree it was fantastic. We parked at the railway station, walked through town, had the coffee and apple tart before the parade and a sausage roll after! Went on down to Delft as we were halfway there and really enjoyed that as well. Glad you're enjoying your hols - not done so many miles on our bikes but enjoying them nonetheless.

Sadly, we do look like our photos! No didn't see you either. Never mind. Went for another cycle ride yesterday but only 13 miles this time. Had a day in Amsterdam today. went on the Park & Ride and went into the Capital by tram. Okay if you can get to grips with the system. One lady who went, didn't and had to pay 53 Euros for her car park instead of 8!!!!! You have to use your tram ticked to travel into the city and back without breaking the journey. She had stopped off at a number of places back to the Olympic Stadium.

We went into Amsterdam on the bus to Haarlem, then train. Very busy there, as you would expect. Off up to Edam and Volendam today then it's starting to get ready for ferry back to UK on Sat. Rain forecast tomorrow so will decide what to do when we get up. Friday we have an "end of rally" meal, which should be nice. Have a safe trip home.
