Can You Change "sunroof" Type?

We saw a van today that we liked, but one small negative was that the sunroofs didn't open very far (apols - am typing tired and can't for the life of me think what the normal word for a caravan sunroof is!). How easy a job is it to fit a different sort, does anyone know? It looks as though it should be easy - and that in itself should generally sound a warning not to start ;-)

Are you sure? If it's a large 900x600 heki or remis they both open fully. ...one pushes up the other slides back. ..the holes in the roof are a standard size so both makes will fit.

If they are a smaller size that can again easily be swapped as the roof holes are a standard size.

For any additional information or advice please have a look on my website. .....

Lots of info here but cutting holes in the roof needs some careful planning? Hidden wires in roof space?

Thank you both - that's good to know. It wasn't a Heiki roof light but a tip and tilt one that didn't seem to open more than a couple of inches at its widest, which wouldn't be a deal of use in the heat.
