logiclee
Good post that Lee, just shows all our needs are different. I'm opposite to you in circumstance really as being a farmer/agri contractor I constantly require a 4x4 for work so it makes sense for me to run Land Rovers. We currently run 5 Defenders of varying age and spec, to oldest being a 1991 and the newest a 2014. . I had a works defender from 1994 until 2010. Paul_B
Update on Mondeo We've just come back from our first trip, we had a few days on the Caravan Club site at Rosedale Abbey near Pickering, we went from motorway (A1 ) to the A64 car park, then on to the hills and dales until we reached the site. It tows superbly, plenty of power for even the steepest hill and according to the computer I averaged 31mpg towing, I don't know what others get with their Mondeos but I thought it was ok Quote Paul B . .......Mondeo Estate & Elddis Avanté 505 (Tobago)
Llew
That sounds about right Paul_B, I get roughly the same mpg from my Vectra. It varies from 29mpg - 34mpg towing depending on speed/weather conditions.
