OLD NICK
sheer comfort, air suspension, most extras on other cars are standard on the s class. virtually silent when doing 70. Pulls our 1900kg van across the mountains on the continent with barely a change of gear. This is our 4th s class over 25yrs. Superpete
The only problem is that your car spec lists nose weight limit of 90kg but your caravan spec lists nose weight at 100kg and with the length of overhang from your car rear wheels to the towball, you're inviting problems with stability Edited February 15, 2014 by Superpete PeteRange Rover(s) towing Buccaneer Caravel
OLD NICK
Never had a problem in 25yrs & always had a twin axle of 1600kg & above. Plus doing well over 150,000mls. We always take care with loading the van correctly.(as everyone should) Common sense is paramount when loading & towing. :) van Bessacar 625 towed by Mercedes M class 3. 2 cdi. we do 6mths at home (winter) 6mths touring (summer) Retired & loving it.--------- Adventure before Dementia.
