LEWINS1998
Hi, as you know my thetford cassette toilet would not flush, so I checked the fuse and it was blown, then I checked the pump and cleaned the impeller, and replaced the fuse, but it still will not work, do I need a new pump? Thank you

gumdrop
Are the fuse holder clips free from corrosion? Have you tried the pump to see if it runs external to the toilet unit. Edited February 8, 2014 by gumdrop
langers8
This happened to me with my previous van before the thetford mod to allow a full draindown of the pump housing on my 09 eccles ruby they were giving away pumps and a modd kit when sending them the serial no off the underside of the cassette how this was due to standing water in the pump and frost dammaing the pump rotor or cracking I took my pump out and the impeller was siezed but could free it off with wd and installed the new drain hose it still worked fine till the van got wrote off ( still have the pump as a spare )

There is no corrosion, and yes I have and the pump does not even flicker
gumdrop
Can you put a meter or even a lamp across the contacts and switch on to see if you have 12v there?

Mike&deb
This is going to sound silly but to me you are talking in jappanes lol Place a volt meter or even a 12volt test lamp across the terminals that the pump connect to and try flushing, if lamp lights or meter shows 12ish volts then pump is u/s. if no voltage or light then you need to check the flush switch, fuses and power.
