chapmag
I've been wanting to try to get to this site for about 5 years and still haven't managed it (due to other commitments). If you get there let me know your thoughts! http://www. treagofarm. co. uk/ HTH, G Edited February 3, 2014 by chapmag
sleepyfolk
Check out this site, it's a nice bit of coastline with some lovely coves http://www. kenneggycove. co. uk/index. htm
Geemac
We like Wooda Farm, Bude. From this year it's a Caravan Club Site, but out of high season you can use ACSI Card or Camping Cheques. Great site, friendly family owners, excellent facilities. Easy drive to the beach, Crooklets or Summerleaze, but not an easy walk. Northcott Mouth beach is wild and non commercial with a National Trust car park (honesty box) . http://www. caravanclub. co. uk/caravanclubapps/applications/uk-caravan-sites-and-parks/SiteDetails. aspx?csid=576104&arrivalDate=&departureDate= http://www. campingcheque. co. uk/united-kingdom/wooda-farm-holiday-park-c705. html Gordon Quote Nissan Qashqai 1. 6 dCi (130 PS) + Avondale Rialto 390-
Freestyle Sten
And a couple of miles to the north you have Sandymouth beach, its National Trust so if you're members its free.
alison01326
I've been wanting to try to get to this site for about 5 years and still haven't managed it (due to other commitments). If you get there let me know your thoughts! http://www. treagofarm. co. uk/ HTH, G I've been meaning to stay there for the last 30 years and still haven't got around to it!!! There's another one at Crantock Check out this site, it's a nice bit of coastline with some lovely coves http://www. kenneggycove. co. uk/index. htm Definitely agree with that one but if you have small children or lots of beach kit, it's not the easiest beach to get to. The site is very popular so you will probably need to book early. We're rather fond of Praa Sands beach a bit further along, but we stay at a CS at Goldsithney which means a short drive. Are you looking for South Coast (flattish water . ...... usually) or North Coast (surfing)? chapmag
I've been meaning to stay there for the last 30 years and still haven't got around to it!!! There's another one at Crantock I have visited the site as my son walked his dog on Crantock Heath every day when we visited them. But alas the caravan hasn't found it's way there yet. What Is saw visiting was very good and the walk/drive to the beach was on the level through NT land (I believe). G.

Paulines7
As you are into scuba diving and not surfing, the south coast of Cornwall may be better for you. We are going to Pentewan Sands on the south coast near Mevagissey over Easter. We haven't stayed there before though but have used their swimming pools. We expect it to be crowded as it is the Easter holidays but as we are going with our son and grandchildren, we have no choice but to go in school holidays. The site is set on its own private beach and is in a very beautiful part of Cornwall. http://www. pentewansands. com/ A site that we really like and are going back to in August, is Carlyon Bay. It is 10-15 minutes walk to the beach though and that may not be easy if you are carrying scuba kits. http://www. carlyonbay. net/ Quote Lunar Clubman 475EK towed by Vauxhall Zafira Design 1. 9Cdti
sunshinetours
If you are looking in peak summer season/May half term then forget it this year, but otherwise try Magic Cove at Mawgan Porth www. magiccove. co. uk Small little site, 300 yards from fab beach and pub/shop and easy striking distance to Newquay/Padstow and anywhere down that coast Certainly seems to fall under the "little gem" bracket you mention Edited February 5, 2014 by sunshinetours Quote Unless you've tried it, you simply won't understand. ..... That was great, we're just looking for somewhere different. And if you like diving, there is a dive club just off site around the corner. I used them, they were good. I have Calyon Bay saved in my favourites as an option. Thanks for the reply.
