Hi,

Tescos have started a scheme where every time your shopping reaches £50 they give you points on your receipt using your clubcard. These build up to a maximum of 20 over a month which can then be used up to the end of the next month on fuel. Every £ on every spend adds up and when £50 is reached the 3 points go on that receipt. Only drawback is its only available in Wales up to now.

That is discrimination by Ethnic/Regional selection. That is also a very very hard slap in the face for our Yorkshire Brethren.

ASDA is an acronym for Associated Dairies and Asda Stores Limited was founded as Associated Dairies & Farm Stores Limited in 1949 in Leeds.

Life in general can be a journey of chance with some winners and sadly some losers. Your outfit can never be left to chance. A short-while carrying out essential checks can ensure a long-time of happy & safe caravanning for all concerned.
Ignorance can often be bliss but is certainly not an excuse and when continually disregarded they can be totally disastrous for oneself and the innocent parties.

It's no different to organisations offering products and services to "over 55's" etc.

Hi Russell. I don't think so. The 'Over 55's etc are everywhere. The ASDA supermarkets in Wales that are offering this deal/incentive are, BELIEVE IT OR NOT only apparently IN WALES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;):rolleyes:B)

Anybody who can afford to shop in Tesco, is quite entitled to 20p off a litre

Seriously though, we have a Sainsbury's 2 miles down the road and Tesco 5 miles away and believe it or not Sainsbury's is quite a lot cheaper than Tesco.

Hi Highlander. Yes,OK I give-in. The same basic principle applies but the original location and founders are different.

Tesco started as Lennons in St Helens,Merseyside, I believe. That was way back in the dim & distant past, the mid to late 60's I believe.

We have had this in Norwich for a few months now. It was where they trialled it apparently. It was limited to certain stores and their corresponding Petrol stations.

Tesco was founded in 1919 by Jack Cohen as a group of market stalls. The name comes from a purchase of Tea from T. E. Stockwell and the first 2 letters of Cohen from 1929.

Don't rise to it Gari, they are only jealous of the wonderful scenery we have on our doorstep.

Unlike Kent, which as everybody knows is as flat as a witches t*t :P

Yes, that would certainly stir things up a bit

Only ever been in a Lidl ( or was it Aldi) shop once. Couldn't find anything amongst all the jumble. Will stick with Tesco, Sainsburys or Waitrose even of we do pay more!
