Rolling Stone
Any recommendations for a stopover near Tours, on the return leg of our Labenne adventure in August? We originally thought we'd do Le Mans both ways, but now we have a slight change of plan on the way back as we're meeting up with friends the day before. The Waltons
We are staying at a site called Le Moulin Fort, just to the East of Tours. Its in the CC site books or on their web site. We are using it as a stop over to the South and also on our return to Caen. Quote Mitsubishi Shogun 3. 2 SG3 197 BHP, 2014, Auto in White . Looking for a 7m German caravan. moorgate
How near must it be? Is 15 miles too far? Lots of us like the municipal site at Azay le Rideau, Camping le Sabot. It's in spacious parkland, within a short walk of the village and the chateau, and won't break the bank. egerton
We used a site at Montbazon on the N10(D910) called le grange rouge. A pleasant setting on the bank of the river. Enjoyed a decent meal in the restaurant. Near to supermarket with fuel. About 6/7 miles south of Tours. This is in the ACSI book.
iansoady
We've used that one as well and liked it - also had a free pop concert the night we were there. IIRC the men's toilets were all "continental" though. .......
