Trip To Jersey

Recommended Posts

I am looking into trips to Jersey. First thing is can my outfit go? I have been looking at ferries and I think I May be too large. I have a Discovey and caravan with shipping length of 7. 96m. Could somebody confirm if I can travel with this combination and who with?

If we get past that one, any recommendations for sites?

Thanks

David

Only one ferry company will take you to Jersey Condor sails from Portsmouth to St Helier Once on the island there are now only two campsites available. I use Rozel this is quite a large site on the north eastern side of the island. The site owners will meet you at the ferry and escort you to the campsite The ferry bookings have to be made through the campsite who will also arrange travel permits to and from the site. I have been to Jersey for the last eight years and am looking at booking again this year. Speed limit on the whole island is max 40 mph some roads have a 15 mph speed limit with cyclists having priority The scuba diving is very good at Bouley Bay The Hungry Man in Rozel village is well worth a visit

This page on the Condor Ferries website will help you.

I looked at going with the motorhome, but it was so cost prohibitive, I gave up.

Online blog and travels, although sometimes there is a lack of travel due to work!

It's an uncharted sea, it's an unopened door but you've got to reach out and you've got to explore.

I am a regular diver, so that part sounds good.

As Kontikikid says the cost of the ferry is VERY expensive so it is worth booking for two weeks rather than one as the cost of the ferry is just the same

Just to add if you do book with Condor go midweek it is slightly cheaper than at weekends
