pk98las
Hi, Although I have had a newish van for 7 years or so (Elddis Hurricane EX 2000 I think) I have to sell it because of marriage break up. This Van I have always thought too good for me and it was my ex,s pet project. It was only used once a year and the full potential not reached. I have now bought an old abi monza 3. 00, i don't know how old, early eighties I would think. It is a bit of a dump, having had a broken vent for a while. I am knocking it about a bit and fitting a wood burner. I am even considering wallpapering the outside in vinyl rough wood print. All comments welcome, especially those of rough camping bent. I am not interested in hook-ups, campsite entertainment or regimented caravaning. I am more your aging hippie in outlook (aged 67) Paul ps any info on van would be good

WindlePoones
Welcome to the forum. By rough camping do you mean wild camping? E. g. non-caravan sites, like laybys, deserted side roads, fields, industrial estates etc. I suppose you know that wouldn’t be legal in England although it is in Scotland. Are you serious about vinyl rough wood print wall paper on the outside of your caravan? Is there such a thing as waterproof wall paper paste? I would have though vinyl wrapping would be possible, but expensive. ABI stopped making touring caravans, but still make static caravans or park homes and are a pretty helpful bunch regarding their old touring caravans. They are still in business and can be contacted on 01482 678000 or on their web site at the following URL: www. abiuk. co. uk Good luck in your new life’s adventure. Venturing out as a new as a new age traveller sounds groovy but rather hard work. Peace and love man.
