Ithaca Guy
Hi everyone, This isn't a problem, most of the time, as we usually have electric hookup, but, I follow the airshow circuit all over the place and, a lot of the time, you're in a farmers field with no mod-cons at all. When I turn the gas, to the fridge, on, under the sink, it hisses and the smell of gas is incredible. I'm guessing it's leaking Is this something a DIYer can do or is it best to get a gas pro on board?

For insurance purposes I believe you need a gas safety cirtificate, this can only be issued by a qualified gas engineer. I'm guessing you are not too worried about that in this case but as you are asking I'm guessing you don't have the appropriate test gear. Personally I would get somebody to check it for you, it won't likely be expensive in my experience. Quote An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. peterjohn
Definitely get it seen to by a properly qualified caravan gas engineer. Look around at your local mobile engineers and ask specifically for the right kind of person. You may be able to do a deal whereby you can have the 'van serviced at the same time, maybe save yourself a few bob. ...Peter Quote Peter and Sandy pulling a 2016 Coachman VIP 565 with 2016 Ford Kuga 2. 0. 180 ps. Caravanmedicswindon
I would suggest you turn off the gas bottle and disconnect the pigtail/regulator until someone competent inspects & repairs the fault.
