Review: Mendip Heights

This is one of my favorite sites and we've visited several times in recent years. Great setting, looking over wonderful countryside. Owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. They run a professional, yet relaxed site. Shop stocks essentials and including fresh bread baked to order. Next door there's a farm shop for fresh meat etc. Short walk to the village of Priddy and pub with good food. There's great walking from the site (a book of local walks available from the site shop). Some pitches slope, but there are plenty of blocks available to help with levelling. Good facilities, toilet block was updated a couple of years ago. Wells and Cheddar are a short drive away.

This is the first campsite we stayed at when we started camping in 2003, now we have a caravan we enjoy more breaks. This was a lovely site only a few miles always from cheddar gouge, such a lovely part of the country.

Lovely relaxed site, convenient for visiting Bristol too.
