Review: Camping Jeugdstadion

Recommended Posts

Having been there, I can agree with the above review. I the centre of town is a very new/rebuilt world war 1 museum with loads of interactive exhibits. St Georges church is also worth a visit. Ieper town square is very attractive having been completely rebuilt after being totally destroyed.

Yes, the museum is called 'On Flanders Fields' also many other places of interest such as Hooge Crater, Hellfire Corner and of course Passchendaele where a museum and memorial park is nearing completion for the 100 year anniversary. Well worth a visit to see reconstructed trench systems from both allied and German fronts. Rather nice restaurant there too.

Also not to be missed a visit to Tyne Cot cemetery. Very moving

WE tried to visit this site in September. Unfortunately it was fully booked, apparently often so with many 'long term' campers.
