Had one in the early 2000's and used it to tow a 1800 kilo twin axle van all over Europe for over a year and it didn' t miss a beat including 2000 meter crossing of the Alps.

Had one for 5 years never missed a beat travelling all over France. Great 4x4 shame they don't make them like this now.

There is a new Pajero Sport on sale in Thailand. ....also a new Isuzu lookalike SUV Mu7 or MuX.

Wonder if either will reach UK?

Did 120 miles in last model MU7 today. ..very much a posh Trooper, the MUx very much a similar vehicle to all the other Asian 4x4's. ..quite stylish.

Had one a few years ago, very good tow car, but slow but would go anywhere.

Shame about the name , in Spanish

Big and comfortable, just like driving a three piece suite. I had one when my mother was alive and she absolutely adored it! Running boards and grab handles everywhere made it easy for her to get in and out. The main downside is the awful fuel consumption. Superb tow car and a genuine 4x4. As Barum says, shame about the name in Spanish.

Wasn't it called the Montero in Spain? Wish I had kept mine!

Possibly harvomark, but I think Barum means what the word "Pajero" means in Spanish. I knew about this when I had one because a workmate of mine had a daughter who lived in Spain and, when she was visiting home, they followed a Pajero and she dissolved into fits of laughter. He asked her what she was laughing about and she explained. The following day he had great delight in informing me exactly what I was driving.

Think you're spot on there, Harvomark. They couldn't really call it "Pajero" for obvious reasons

Mind you, I have seen a few Pajero drivers on occasions
