Most of the photographs are not showing fishing. I used mine recently on a CL and it did a great job providing shade and cool air.

 

Up in no time and back in the bag in 2 mins flat.

I think they are quite good but have seen them take off in a wind!

Agreed, I would need to find about six big boulders to tie it down, fishing or vanning.

It has holes in the top to allow wind through. I sat with the sun behind and a breeze in front. Normal alloy directors chairs and still headroom.

 

It has three tie down points (front 2 and rear 1) and will peg around the skirt with the supplied pegs.

It does make as you say a suntrap and windbreak in one. Great piece of kit. IMHO. I might buy a red one next.
