Tyres

This would be the 500B and the last not to be fitted with a cassette toilet as standard, if so it weighed in at a little over a 1000kg fully loaded?.

A pair of 165Rx13C 6 ply light commercial tyres which have a load index number of 91 will fit the bill perfectly. Tyre pressures given a total weight of 1043kg should be 44psi.

175 will do the job if 165 are hard to get hold off and these should be run at 40psi.

The British Rubber Manufactures recommend discounting 10% of the total load index to allow for " the extra stress caravan tyres endure" and the above to choices meet or exceed this recommendation

These tyres I believe will take 1550kg between them at 65psi and although a bit OTT for the weight of your van they will do the job.

However 55psi is far to much pressure if as I think your van weighs less than 1100kg. Given this is what it weighs then the recommended pressure for 1046kg is still 40psi, these tyres will carry 1246kg at 44psi and 54psi equates to 1340kg.

my wife seems to chuck in a lot also

would we do any damage if we stayed at 55psi

as i would rather be safe than sorry but would be
