Monzas were built by ABI Caravans Ltd at Beverley in Humberside. In the 80's the company was the largest manufacturer of tourers in the Country, however, now they no longer produce any touring vans, instead they make mobile homes. To discover the date of build of your van, try to find a plate attached to the drawbar giving a serial number. Often the build year is incorporated in the serial number. If your van is known as a 1200S it would seem that it is earlier than 1984, since in that year and later, the 12foot vans were refered to as 3. 60S and 3. 60CT. The S model was fitted out as a 5 berth whereas the CT was a 4berth. Incidently, the maximum weights were 684Kgs and 660Kgs.

thank you, was wondering what the differance was. I am guess to make it a 5 berth it had one of those funny hammock, bunk things somewhere.

Do you mind if i ask where you find all this info. would be great to read a bit of history behind the van. Can't wait to see it now
