I am considering buying a twin axle but have heard that site abroad are refusing to let them on site in case they are gypsies.   Is this true?

If you book your hols through the CC stating you have a twin axle, no probs at all

And if I don't?

When I was in France it seemed that the gypsies just took over fields as they wanted. Are you thinking of just turning up at a site 'willy nilly'. If so I would think it would be the same chance is if the site was full, perhaps some will take you some will not. !!

When stopping overnight enroute, I have found that some of the municipal sites in France have signs in the reception. "No Twin Axles" (In french of course). As I have only ever had a single axle I have never tested the situation. You may get away with it with a british registration.

I don't think there would be any problems on the main holiday sites.
