Which Ipaq?

Debating which model of ipaq to go for the 3715 or the 4700

3715 has edge on cost £249 4700 has edge on resolution 640x480 at £316

coming from a tungsten T5 the 4700 screen res is swinging the balance in its favour but TT Nav 5 appears to display full screen anyway on 3715 so will only be contacts/notes etc that are in the miniscule 320x240 mode

then of course there is the medion 100 all in one jobby @ £349 which had certain advantages of not having to use the bluetooth GPS unit, can use TT on that and inore the medion sat nav stuff

but back to little screen res for other apps and of course no BT or wifi for additional connectivity which is more than useful so this one coming third at moment because of this

anyone using either of the models and can give benefit of wisdom

Discounted TT300 etc as it does not offer the flexibility of the PDA

The 4700 has a lovely screen but I don't think you should be disappointed with either from that perspective.

What other criteria are you weighing up ?

Apart from screen display, the thing will be used for all the normal types of PDA business activities, Other things like MP3 etc not really that much interest.

Where 4700 would score is via screen res for images which are a factor.

The loox 720 is also a contender but hard to find.

Current thinking is keep T5 for all the business stuff and imaging and get a far cheaper Mitac 168 clone or similar for basic TT5 usage and odd bits and bobs of notes and addresses etc while out on the road. E-mail may well be a pain via Irda after having the freedom of Bluetooth but will suffice for odd occasions and if used in the shade.

The screen won in the end!

4700 plus Globalsat CF GPS receiver plus a powered TomTom Carkit Mount.

Poorer but happier. TT5 rock steady and the screen for viewing images unbelievable, coupled with the awsome Phojo program makes a very useful mobile Navigation/Office and image station all in one unit
