We're contemplating getting one of these porch awnings but wonder whether it will be okay with the Bailey Unicorn alu-tech van with the sort of enclosed awning track. The blurb on Royal's website says that the fibreglass poles fit into pockets against the awning rail to prevent damage to the van. Does anyone have any experience that would help, please?

We have had one for about 6 years and it's stood up well to the snow last Christmas and winds. I cant comment on the fitting on the Unicorn but the fibreglass pole push into a sewn in pocket tight to the bead that fits into the awning rail and even with some very high winds it's never marked the side of our previous Bailey or this one.
