Camping Cheques - 2012 List Available

Recommended Posts

For anyone wanting the new list of Camping Cheque sites for 2012, you can now see the addtions and deletions on Archies Camping - http://www. archiescampings. EU/cc2012/

Whilst you're using the website take the opportunity to download POI's for 30,000 campsites throughout Europe. (See pinned topic for more details).

To me it reads like an organisation in self destruct mode given the sites that are popular with Brits that are leaving [or been thrown out for daring to take ACSI ?]

With the Camping & Caravan Club now taking on ACSI it seems a vulnerable time to chop so many sites from the Cheque system.

I don't think it's a question of 'chopping' - more that sites are electing to move towards ACSI. From site owners we've spoken to this is because ACSI has become more popular, and more well used, and site owners get their money at the end of the stay rather than later when the Camping Cheques they've collected are reimbursed.

A lot of the sites which are 'joining' this year seem to be the smaller sites! When Camping Cheques first started they had all the Castels Chain, and many of the popular 'Eurocamp' type sites.

It will be really interesting to see how many of the larger sites have joined ACSI for 2012, given that they are now publishing two books of sites - one for France and another for the rest of Europe!

hi val not surprised sites are leaving, when they only get about 10€ per night.

at least with acsi they get it all, i know they probably have to pay to be in the book.

some sites we have used, had dropped out of C CH, and made the site price the same. 15€

have you ever used vacansoleil, cheques. £9. 00 p/n.

we got camping cheques (3) for the deal on the ferry.

We've not used Soleil Cheques because none of the sites are in areas we particularly want to visit (apart from the Millau ones) - and then we can use ACSI anyway, so paying the extra admin fee for a couple of Soleil Cheques is a bit daft!
