We got back today from a week at the Dolbeare Caravan and Camping site at Landrake near Saltash in Cornwall.

We travelled down from Milton Keynes on 1st October and got there at about 4pm. The site is down a single track road so was a bit awkward getting to it but got there in the end. We were shown to our pitch and we set up. All of the caravan pitches are hardstanding with electric and all are level so no blocks needed.

It is a very clean and tidy site with a 24 hour shower block which is heated and has radio piped in for music while you shower. :) There is a security gate which you are given a pass for to get back in. Going out it opens automatically.

We spent most of our time away from the van taking a trip to St Austell, Tintagel and Tintagel Castle. My wife had bought me a boat trip out from Penzance to go whale watching, so drove down for that. Took a brief trip down to Land's End and then drove back. We took a trip to see the Monkey Sanctuary at Looe. That was definitely worth the trip and the entrance fee. Took ages to get to due to single track roads!!

All in all a great week away.
