Personally we prefer sleeping bags as you have the bag under you as well as on top so warmer. plus if cold use a singles rather than zipped together

Sleeping bag as it is much easier to make up (not fixed bed) as it can just be thrown on with no under sheets and it evens out the made up bed cushions that have a few joins.

Spare blanket to hand in case it gets chilly.

Duvalay, best of both worlds, includes its own

memoryfoam mattress. zip together for a double

and you can alter the tog rating for one half or

the other.

Ordinary sleeping bags also have an advantage

if you or your other half spills a drink on it the other

can still snuggle up while the other half dries slowly

in the damp awning :)

On made-up front beds - sleeping bag. On fixed bed - duvet. Take your pick. For extra cold nights - old fashioned car rug over the top of either. The extra weight makes so much difference.

There is only the two of us and we have an island bed on top of which is a beautiful mattress followed by an electric blanket and topped off with a duvet.

Ps

I forgot to mention the wife's bed socks

This would suit me but not at that price.

We use a duvet (fixed bed) just made up like a normal bed

at home if you know what I mean.

I have to sleep with my feet out of the covers.

When we had a normal pull out type of caravan bed I had a sleeping bag but it had

to be one where I could open the bottom with the 2 way zip to stick my feet out.

Never used a double sleeping bag, the phrase "too close for comfort" springs to mind

We have a pull out bed and have just changed to duvet. Much prefer it to sleeping bags and, as we already used an under sheet, it doesn't take any extra time to set up.

We used to use sleeping bags but MOH found it claustrophobic. Used a double duvet for years now, 15 TOG autumn-spring and 5 TOG in summer. The latter takes up very little space or weight and in extremely cold weather we use both!

Fixed twin beds with fitted (Jonel) sheets and a 4. 5tog duvet each. We have sleeping bags with us just in case and during one very cold spell we actually unzipped the sleeping bags and put them in the duvet covers, very cosy.

We make up the bed every night but I found a sleeping bag too constraining so use fitted sheets and a duvet. We still have the bag and if very cold will put that on the bed 1st as it seems to help.

If warm at night I get too hot in the bag as well.

When does a sleeping bag become a duvet ?

We use two sleeping bags opened up, one under and one on top .

This gives an option if we need to use single bunk layout

I have to make my bed up using the front seats. Memory foam matress topper, cotton sheet then duvet on top. I personally hate sleeping bags as I am one of those people who tosses and turns all night so a sleeping bag is like being in a straight jacket.

Also, I have just changed to memory foam pillows and they are great.

We did this with our two berth. . Used some good Coleman flanelette lined sleeping bags.

Now we have a fixed bed. . We just have full bedding using a duvet.

I prefer fitted sheets. But she prefers a 15 tog quilt.

So guess what we have "the quilt"

Even when i kick it off me and over her so she has a 30 tog on top of her she is still cold. Even in summer.

Are men more warm blooded as I am always hot and she is alwys cold?
