No Hot Water & Water Pump Continously Running

We have just acquired a Bailey Pageant Champagne (2003) and though it is under warranty I thought I'd just check something in case we missed the obvious.

On our first outing this weekend, we had trouble getting hot water - first of all the hot water tank drain valve seemed to stick open but we got that fixed. Then we could get no hot water - the pump was running, the tank filled (as evidenced by the amount that came out when we drained it), we ran a tap for 2 mins or so to get the tank filled, the gas appeared to be on (green light in the switch, though with a red also showing) but no hot water.

Any ideas please?

We also noted that the water pump ran continuously after this.

It will run until it reaches full pressure.

Fill the tank by opening the hot tap furthest from the inlet until it runs clear.

Then run the other taps till water comes out properly.

Do not turn on either gas or electric until the tank is full.

Green and red lights show gas and battery condition. It self lights and will not operate with either at fault.

Are the gas taps on at the gas manifold. Does the hob and fire operate properly?
