Northcliffe & Seaview, High Hawsker, Nr Whitby

Recommended Posts

Has anyone on here stayed at this park? It only accepts caravans for the whole season. It looks an ideal location for us. We are keen dog walkers, but also don't want to be too isolated. We like a nearby pub, as we like to eat out on our hols. We are hoping to have quite a few long weekends & hopefully 3 (at least) full weeks. This site allows family & friends to stay at other times too. It isn't cheap, but looks lovely. We are wondering if it is more economical to book a site for the seasn, due to the high price of fuel. If anyone can suggest any sites that would suit us around Yorkshire, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you so much Jocky for pointing this out, we had completely missed it! I had seen the 'dog free' & thought it meant dogs were free, silly me!

Can you recommend any other sites in the Yorkshire area, we love the walks & scenery? We stayed at Runswick Bay August Bank Holiday, but weren't that impressed with the facilities.

Thanks Jocky, just been looking at Middlewood!

We've been a few times over the last few years and the site is getting better every year. The walk through the fields down into Robins Hood Bay is nice with the dogs, but take a torch if its dark :)

Thanks for the info, also looked at Centenary last night, looks like it would suit us down to the ground. We want something near to the beach, fairly quiet, but walking distance for a drink. Cheers.

Yes you can do all this from this site. Lovely walk into Filey by the boating lake and walking through the gardens down to the beach. You can walk along the cliffs to Primrose Valley and walk back with your dogs along the beach. If you walk the footpath by the golf course on an evening to the pubs in Filey remember to take your torches - there are no lights on the footpath.

Have a good time.

Just rang Centenary, seasonal is out of the question, only have 5 pitches & there is a long waiting list. ...will definitely give it a try though.
