We went to collect our 2006 Altea 542UK from its annual service and thought we'd have a look at the special deals they had on the 2011 Alteas - we ended up trading in our old van and buying a brand new 542DK. :D

The only problems we ever had with the 542UK was the not comfortable front bed, a constantly dripping tap in the bathroom and the roof light screens that kept breaking. .other than these small niggly things, it was a great van.

Any thoughts/opinions on this new van?

Thanks.

We have a 2010 542dk, its our 2nd van after a bailey. we cannot fault it at all. all the new uk vans we looked at had rubbish finish quality compared to the Adria, and at the end of the day most of the appliances and fittings are common to most manufactures so it was the build quality that sold it for us.

The front double still has the raised area where the bed base slides out from, we have got some of the pyramid awning floor mats and we use them to level the base out.

My Dad will not have another uk van next time he changes as he also feels they are finished to a far superior standard.

We have also recently found out a nottinghamshire dealer has started stocking Adrias. so a bit closer to us for servicing etc

Why? This is our third Adria and we've been really happy.

There is also an excellent Adria dealer just outside Boston. They are called South Lincs Leisure and are very nice people to deal with. With regards service, I use Caravan Chris who is based in Scunthorpe and comes to your home to do the service. He advertises in the Caravan Club Magazine.
