Bailey Pageant Vendee Series 5

Hi

when our van had it's 5th service the dealer noted a small crack in the rear panel - he told us this is a common problem with the series 5- Bailey have agreed to cover the cost of a new rear panel. Unfortunately just prior to going away in July of this year we found the front seats by the near side window were soaking wet.

The dealer reckons the fault lies with the metal strip on the roof which connects the front panel to the roof - which the dealer resealed last year alongside resealing the window !!!

We don't know where the water is getting in but there is no sign of any damp above the window - Bailey are refusing to cover the cost blaming the dealer - we don't know what to do next -

As anyone else had problems with damp in Bailey Pageant Series 5

cheers Tetra

if the dealer has not completed the repair correctly and it is this causing the problem, then the dealer should repair again free of charge because its their fault and not bailey. however if the cause is a new problem then bailey should cover under their warranty as long as it isnt being caused by the window rubber. once over bailey used to cover window rubbers for 2yrs, first yr warranty and 2nd yr goodwill, but in the last 9mths the warranty has reverted back to 12mths only.

We have a vendee s5 2006 reg and i have had to put 2 front window seals in and will have to replace the wooden panel under the windows due to mildew. There is also a bit of damp on the wall just under the joint to the front panel. No cracks in the panels though.
