No Tolls For Me In France !

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am currently in a camp site just outside Paris called "Camping Club Le Park De Paris"

I paid 10 euro while I left Vilanova just south of Barcelona, and zilch after that.

We took Russ's route, up the A75, etc, stopped overnight wild one, on the way to Millau, then an overnight in Millau, then another wild one, then into Paris.

we took our 4 days I think.

Any way, big thank you to Russ,

Graham

You, and all other members are welcome! Toll free all the way I say!

Do you have any more details of the campsite you are on? Would my van be ok on there do you reckon?

Russell

Footnote - "my" toll free routes have been tested with a motorhome - I presume you found them equally usable for a car and caravan?

Online blog and travels, although sometimes there is a lack of travel due to work!

It's an uncharted sea, it's an unopened door but you've got to reach out and you've got to explore.

Hi Russ,

On the Vilanova camp site, your van would be no problem.

Raco del Mar.

The price is almost negotiable, we got down to some thing like 14 euro a night, with free hot showers and electricity.

I am seriously considering a 12 month pitch there.

2600 for the year.

Great people there, we made a lot of nice Spanish friends.

Great pool also,

Great naked beach just 5 minuts away, let your eyes pop out.

Just a 5 minute walk to one beach, and a 10 minute walk to the other beach.

On the Millau camp site, called Camping Cote Sud, no problem.

Right on the river, very beautiful place.

Pool etc, good electricity, at 6 amps.

We paid 15,5 euro for the 2 of us, with free hot water showers, and electricity included.

On this one now, there are a mix of challets, caravans, and motorhomes.

Now on this Paris site "Camping Club Le Park De Paris", free hot showers, and really good ones at that.

No pool though, but other entertaiments, shop, supermarket, restraunt, etc.

Electricity at 10 amps is good.

I remember staying at this site in the 60's with my parents, camping on the way to the Costa Brava. It was a lovely site then, but what I remember most about it was the toilet facilities. They were built out over the river and you could see the water flowing past under the seat. Kinda put me off swimming there. No doubt they are much improved now!!

Cote Sud in Millau is an ACSI card site, charging 13 euros per night for two people, pitch, outfit and awning, and electricity. It also does 7 nights for 6, and 14 nights for 12, or 21 nights for 18.
