Bailey Toilet Flush

Can anyone tell me the approximate capacity of the toilet flush on a Bailey Orion 440-4.

There is no mention at all of the toilet in the Bailey handbook and the flush fluid has to be added so much per litre of water.

Thanks,

Ian

Sorry, don't know, I just fill mine 'till it starts to overflow from the filler.

There's been a few debates on here about the need for an additive to the flush, I don't see the need for it, I don't use an additive at home so it's just plain water for me in the van.

One solution for you would be to keep a plastic container for filling the flush and add the solution to that, this method would allow you to get the correct mix.

7 litres on our Pegasus and Unicorn. I think the Orion toilet is the same.

So Wildkat reckons 15 litres and caraman1 reckons 7 litres, bit of a difference.

Quote from our Pegasus manual for the Thetford C-250 toilet:

"Fill up the flush tank with clean water (approximately 8 litres)"

We use a 10 litre soft jack for our toilet and approx 2 litres goes in the bottom and the rest in the top - 8 litres!

Are Thetford maybe suggesting you don't need an additive?

No - I skipped that bit from the quote - they do recommend you first add the correct dosage of AquaRinse (to keep flush water fresh and improve flushing).

Have always used one full 5 litre container and around half of another 5 litre container so that is ROUGHLY 7. 5 litres give or take any remains from the last trip.

Definitely not 15 litres, I wish it was!

(not a Bailey but the same C250 toilet)

7 Litres. 3 x 2l bottle fill plus one half bottle and I'm at the top.
