Gas Bottles

Could do with some advice on a gas bottle issue if anyone can help me.

Whilst packing up to come home last Saturday, I noticed that the Calor Lite bottle contents gauge has broken off.

I honestly don't know how long its been like that, looking at the rather brown plastic at the shear point it might have been off for a while.

The question is, is it a problem?

The reason I ask is that the gauge appears to be held on with a single screw and there are no other connections which might indicate a thermal type device that has no other connections, therefore its not a problem.

However, the reverse is also true and it could be a problem.

Anyone know anything about them ????

All help and advice gratefully received.

The last time I replaced a calorlite I got it from calor at Portrack and there was no gauge on it.

The bottle worked fine and when I exchanged it I told them and they said not every one had a gauge.

So I cant see a problem
