Advice After Reproofing

HI,

I had a lightweight awning which has stood up to all our weather, last month it started leaking and water running down the poles, so I used a fabric re-proofer in a spray, while the awning was in the rail but hanging down the wall of the van, the spray lasted for 2/3 of the roof. I put the poles in and left it to dry, on putting in my storm poles one went through the roof, which I patched up, I used the contact page on the makers website to ask if this should happen to date no reply.

Following the strong winds Tuesday my awning ripped but only on the roof where I had used the re-proofer, my pegs and poles were all intact had the roof not ripped my awning would still be OK. Have sent another contact message to the makers of the re-proofer hoping this time for a reply.

Has anyone else had problems like this or should I just put it down to my usual bad luck?

Terry.

Absolutely not, it sounds as if the re-proofer has, for some reason perished your fabric and made it "Brittle" keep on to them and don't let it drop

Hi Tony G

Don't worry if I have not had a reply by Monday afternoon (it says to allow 24hrs for reply) I will be on the phone.
