Hi

Iam awaiting delivery of my new Elddis Crusader Storm 2005 model. Not having towed a twin axle before I am questioning if there is an optimum tow ball height?

I tow with a Shogun 2. 8 TDI long wheel base.

Any ideas?

thanks.

I believe that the towball should be between 375mm and 420 mm from the ground to the centre of the ball.

Thanks for a very quick response. I will now check to ensure I am within the limits.

Cheers

Opps, forgot to put that I also have a Shogun 3. 2 Warrior and tow an 04 Elddis Sirocco.

If you have the standard Mitsubishi tow bar then you will need to use the lower set of holes on the plate to keep the height and noseweight within limits.

The information from the CC handbook is "The couplin ball when measured from the ground to ball centre, should be between 350mm and 420mm - vehicle fully laden but not with the caravan attached in accordance with BS AU 113C, ISO 1103 or EU94/20"

In old money this is 13. 780" to 16. 535"
