Steve W77
Can anyone tell me if the Alko jack fittings can go infront or behind the wheels. My Powertouch mover had to be fiited behind the wheels because the trunking for the heating comes through the floor just where the motor is normally located. I have a Swift Challeger 530. I am sure somebody else must have had this problem. Steve. 2015 SorentoKX2 pulling a 2011 Sterling Eccles Moonstone
para
So far as I know they go behind the wheels. The location points for the jack on chassis that have been pre-drilled are behind. Thinking about it if you put them in front when you jack up the van you would take the weight off the jockey wheel. This would make the van very unstable and dangerous to work on. Paul. Desperado
Having spent half an hour fitting them on site last weekend I can honestly say the drillings in the chassis are behind the wheels. I had to reposition a bracket for the waste pipe from the sink to make mine fit. Desperado
Steve W77
Thanks for the info. Looks like I will have to stick with the bottle jack. Steve. 2015 SorentoKX2 pulling a 2011 Sterling Eccles Moonstone
