screenman
Sure is going to scratch the roof. Bit like those door edge guards, we have earnt a lot of money over the years painting where those things have been. I must say in case you are wondering I own a smart repair business and training centre. Just watched video on these taken on a beach where there is a lot of sand about, the woman rolls the thing across the roof and drags it into position, can I have the job of getting rid of the scratches please. screenman
Just saying anything laying flat on your paintwork that has even the slightest movement in it will damage the paintwork. I would have thought the average cost to paint a roof to a good standard is about £500.
FM02MZO
Prevention is far better than cure, fit a proper roof rack, they are far cheaper and efficient. Quote RegardsTerry BirchThe tourer days are over, we now have an Hobby D500 GESC.
Gordon
I am looking at buying on of those inflatable roof rack. Anyone got one and is it any good??I have no experience of these racks, but my main concern would not be damage to the vehicle, but rather the security of the load should the rack deflate in use.
